Mission: The Agriculture Committee promotes the economic impact of agriculture to the Bismarck- Mandan area through education and interaction.

The Agriculture Committee is watchful of issues and legislation that are of significance to the region’s agriculture community and provides information accordingly to Chamber EDC membership.

Ambassador Committee

Mission: The Ambassador Committee communicates the mission of the Chamber EDC to the Bismarck-Mandan business community and encourages the involvement of new and existing members in Chamber EDC programming.

Excellence in Business and Education Committee

Mission: The Business Excellence and Education Committee encourages collaboration between business and educational entities, including the acknowledgement of outstanding area educators, students and businesses.

Granite Award

  • Must be a Chamber EDC member the last 5 years or the last 5 years in business life.
  • 50 years in business in Bismarck-Mandan(business may have changed ownership or name).
  • Must be involved in community activities.

New Entrepreneur of the Year Award

  • Member of the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC.
  • Any individual who serves as a majority owner and operates or bears principal responsibility for operating a small business.
  • 3-year track record and not more than 7 years in business.
  • Demonstrated growth in employees and opportunities
  • Demonstrated social responsibility/community service/civic engagement
  • Can be existing business with new owner, as long as new owner has shown innovation, changes in organization, growth, etc.

Small Business Person of the Year Award

  • Member of the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC
  • Any Individual(s) who owns and operates or who bears principal responsibility for operating the business
    • Partners can be nominated as a ‘team’, as long as the number of team members does not exceed four.
  • 7+ years of being in business
  • Demonstrated growth in employees and opportunities
  • Demonstrated increase in sales and/or unit volume
  • Demonstrated social responsibility/community service/civic engagement
  • Nominees can be franchisees; however, they cannot be the head of a corporate office location.

 

 

Mike Fink Award for Growth and Profitability Award

  • Member of the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC .
  • Been in Business at least 5 years in the area.
  • Growth in number of employees over last 3 years.
  • Growth in revenue of at least 20% average over the last 3 years.

Government Affairs Committee

Mission: The Government Affairs Committee was assembled to identify and address legislative issues impacting business and the economic growth of the Bismarck-Mandan region.

Local Issues Committee

Mission: The Local Issues Committee identifies and monitors city and county issues that may impact the business community of the Bismarck-Mandan region and provides information accordingly to Chamber EDC membership.

The Local Issues Committee was established to facilitate appropriate decisions and advocacy on critical issues of importance to both Chamber EDC membership and the surrounding community.
