The Chamber staff is committed to providing members extraordinary service and calls upon personal expertise to do so. Please feel free to contact any Chamber representative with questions or concerns you may have.

Kelvin Hullet, president
I am the president of the Chamber and spend my days thinking about how to make Bismarck-Mandan a better place.
We have a tremendous staff way at the Chamber that works every day to implement the vision created by the Board of Directors.
Much of my time is spent working with elected officials on policy at the local, state and national levels that impact business. I also serve as the spokesperson for the Chamber, which means I do a lot of interviews and visits with community and civic groups.
In my spare time, I can be found scooping the snow, cleaning the windows or generally staying out of the staff's way while they get things done.

Gerri Huschka, director of operations
I was hired by the Mandan Chamber in 1985 as secretary/receptionist and jack of all trades.
After the merger in 1990 with the Bismarck Chamber, I became assistant to the president and held that title until 2003 when Kelvin was hired as Chamber president at which time my title changed to director of operations. As such, my responsibilities include maintaining the Chamber database, accounts receiveable and payable, financial reports, office manager, secretary for Bismarck Industries, Inc. and other duties as assigned.

Susie Kocourek, senior program director I am entering into my 26th year with the Chamber. My experience dates back to the Mandan Chamber prior to the Bismarck and Mandan merger in 1990.
You might say that Chamber is in my blood as my father was the executive director of the Mandan Chamber of Commerce for 21 years.
Because of my tenure and not my age, my title is senior program director. In that position, I am responsible for the Ambassador and Agriculture Committees, the Leadership Bismarck-Mandan program, Chamber Business Academy and have the opportunity to coordinate some fun events for our members including, the golf outing, holiday mixer and spring mixer.

Sally Paulson, program director
I have the best job in the world! Working in a great office filled with great people, I am the Chamber face for the Business Education Partnership Committee, Junior Achievement, and the Excellence in Business committee.
I gently balance work and personal life with my husband, 4 kids and 2 dogs.

Heather Sailer, membership services director I joined the Chamber at the end of June in 2006. Considered by many to be a bit on the bubbly side, I use my excitement for all things "Chamber", to think of new and fun ways to bring our members together. I have the amazingly fun job of coordinating many of our events and membership programs. From the Annual Dinner, to the Lunch-n-Learns, from President's Round Table, Milestone Anniversaries, and Membership Mixers, to our new endevors with the Total Resource Campaign, you can find me in the background making sure we have smooth sailing.
I am looking forward to playing hostess on the Chamber Plaza this summer and can't wait to see what we'll come up with next. Interacting with people and taking care of our Members is the best part of what I do! I currently live in Bismarck, though I am a Mandan native. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, am active in the Young Professionals Network, sit on the Board of Directors for Dakota Stage, am an Optimist Club Member, and also am a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant.

Katie Moore Aitchison, marketing and communications director
Hired as the marketing and communications director, MC for short, my role quickly expanded to include "that too," whatever that might be.
I assist with committees such as Government Affairs, Military Affairs, and Air Service, as well as drafting newsletters, creating the directory and other print projects, and fighting for the betterment of business (soapbox not included).
I spent the first part of 2009 learning the finer points of "creative lurking" at the Capitol through the 2009 session. Working on policy matters that truly matter to the Bismarck-Mandan business community is a rewarding challenge.
One of the best parts of my position is helping the staff show-off their events before they happen through posters, invitations, and other promotional materials. The more members who understand what we do and take advantage of it, the more beneficial the Chamber is to business.

Dot Frank, communications specialist Brought onboard as a communications specialist in Oct. 2008, I quickly commandeered print and electronic communications responsibilities, namely the Chamber Connection, ChamberLink and the Chamber Web site.
I am fortunate to have a flexible schedule, thanks to technology, a progressive employer and self-motivation. My telecommuting work arrangement includes limited office hours on Mondays and Tuesdays and work from home the rest of the week.
At home I enjoy spending time with two toddlers, three dogs and a great husband.

|
Peg Iszler, director of first impressions
I was a new face added during the facelift of the new Chamber building in October 2007. My role as director of first impressions includes greeting members and the public in person from the front desk and over the phone, fax and e-mail.
I also serve as the gatekeeper to the rest of the staff. If you visit the Chamber, which I encourage you to do, you'll have to go through me to get to them.
Other responsibilities include scheduling usage of our three conference rooms, managing the relocation packet program and light building maintenance (Think temp control and critter control; kitties and rabbits roam our grounds regularly.).
I share 1/3 of my time with the North Dakota Safety Council assisting them in similar activities.

|
Ryan Parsons, membership director
As the membership director, I work to keep the Chamber growing. Starting at the Chamber in March of 2008, I hit the ground running. Getting out into the community and meeting business owners and operators, gives me a hands-on feel for the members, current and future, of the Chamber.
When not talking to potential members and explaining the finer points of membership, I attend ribbon cuttings and assist in the production and execution of various Chamber events.

Whitney Tennyson, director of operations assistant
I fill half of my time at the Chamber working for the Young Professionals Network and the other half learning how to keep this place in order. When Gerri retires, I will be taking over her position and will work hard to do the job as well as she has.
I am currently a senior accounting major at the University of Mary. After I graduate in December, I plan to work at the Chamber full-time while completing my MBA in the evenings.
I love knowing that I work at a place that makes a difference, where my co-workers take in flood evacuees (ask and I'll tell the story) and where the members are amazing!
I spend my free time four wheeling and shooting sporting clays. I am active in Ducks Unlimited, the Young Professionals Network and am a new member of the Dakota Stage Board of Directors.
