Board of Directors
The Board of Directors, comprised entirely of members in good standing, sets policy and guidelines for the Chamber's overall operations. As a whole, the Board represents a diverse spectrum of small, medium and large organizations from the Bismarck-Mandan community. The following members represent the Executive Committee. Barb Aasen, Eide Bailly Chairwoman of the Board
Barb is the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber's first female chair. She serves as partner-in-charge of the Bismarck office of Eide Bailly LLP, a regional public accounting and business advisory firm. She has been a Chamber board member for the past three years.
"Because so many of Eide Bailly's clients are members of the Chamber, I can bring trends and business issues they are facing to the board, and use these as opportunities to address what's affecting the business community as a whole."

Shannon Gangl, Seven Seas Hotel & Waterpark Chair-Elect of the Board
Shannon Gangl is the owner and CEO of the Best Western Seven Seas Hotel & Water Park in Mandan. He has served on the Chamber's Board of Directors since 2008 and is slated to assume the role of chairman of the board in 2012.

Leslie Oliver, Vogel Law Firm Secretary
Leslie Bakken Oliver is an attorney with Vogel Law Firm in Bismarck, practicing employment and health care law. She has served on the Chamber Board of Directors since January 2008. According the Leslie, inclusion on the board gives her a better understanding of the challenges businesses face today, and an appreciation for the talented, dedicated business leaders in the area.
She looks forward to overcoming workforce development issues in the coming year. "I hope to serve as a voice for the business community, particularly at this time as we struggle with significant national issues impacting our economy - health reform, energy, etc.," she said.

Greg Vetter, American Bank Center Treasurer
Greg Vetter has served on the Chamber Board of Directors for the past two years. He is the Bismarck Market President of American Bank Center. Greg's involvement on the board helps him stay connected. "It is a great way for me to keep abreast on the key issues facing business - on the local, state and national level. It is also an effective way for me to network," he says.
Greg's economics and financial services expertise makes him a resource for Chamber members via the board and their decisions that drive business growth.
His goal is to clearly understand what is going on in Washington to assist the membership on the impacts for their business. Greg's top three concerns for business are cap and trade legislation, the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, and the impact of the newly enacted health care reform.

Terry Kraft, American Family Insurance Past-Chairman of the Board
Terry Kraft owns an American Family Insurance office in Mandan. He is in his 26th year of business for the Fortune 500 company that carries "All Your Insurance Under One Roof".
"My hope is that I can bring to the board the issues and concerns of other small business owners like myself."
