Rodney Froelich (D)

1. My vision for ND is to ensure that all voices are heard. I would like to see lower property taxes and lower sales tax. This could be accomplished through the efficient use of natural resources dollars. And we need to create opportunities that motivate our young people to state in the state.
2. I have experience at the local and state level. I have six years of military service, four years as county commissioner, and twelve years in the House of Representatives. Not to mention that I have been a successful rancher for some 40 years.
3. The biggest challenge is ensuring that the state revenue is fairly distributed, and that we consider the consequences of our actions. We need to think about the next generation and set aside enough revenue so that they benefit as well.
4. The biggest opportunity is to wisely utilize our natural resources while considering the impact on our environment.
5. It is important to understand that we are in a new era, an information age. These new digital tools have made our world smaller, people are able to interact with each other without leaving their homes. Therefore, we will need to adapt, adjust, and learn as much as we can about this new era. It can be a very creative time, it is important to think out of the box and be positive because it is not going to go away.

1. To continue in the direction that we are headed. Promote job growth, increase funding for education, continue the effort for tax equity and work to improve infrastructure.
2. With 20 years of experience in School board, 24 years in Ambulance and Fire services, father of four, own and operate a farm, and serving on many civic and volunteer organizations has given me the experience and the opportunity to work for the District 31 people.
3. With our economy doing so well, everyone expects to get all funding for every project or program. We do need to fund what is essential with education being the priority, update and improve our infrastructure, make sure we have enough reserve for our rainy day fund; prioritize the rest and fund what is necessity.
4. Keep our state as the envy of the rest of the country. We can promote our state for business and industry and maintain the lifestyle and keep the uniqueness that we have and everyone else wants.
5. Social media is like this two-head monster. We don't know yet if we love it or hate it. High tech and super fast has made social media something here to stay and there is no way to avoid it. Like everything new, we need to look to ways for this type of media to help and inform us and ensure it is accurate and safe. If there was ever an instance where you cannot un-ring a bell, this instant type of media needs handling with a sense of caution.

1. North Dakota will clearly be an energy source for the rest of the nation for years to come. I foresee us as utilizing our fossil fuel resources in a responsible manner and as a leader in the development of wind and solar power. At the same time, I hope we will maintain a strong agricultural sector and preserve the way of life that makes us who we are.
2. I have a broad range of experience. I operated a cow-calf and small grain operation before I went to medical school, and after twenty years in the health care field started a small business in the highway construction industry. I was also a high school teacher at Solen and Ft Yates, and have 34 years of military service.
3. I see the biggest challenge as getting past the political haggling that plagues both our state and national government, so that we can enact reasonable legislation that addresses the needs of the people.
4. As an independent I will not be constrained by the ideology of either the democrat or republican parties.
5. You can follow me on Facebook and Twitter.
