Bismarck-Mandan is "America's Emerging Community", and a great place for you to locate your business. In May 2006, Forbes magazine named Bismarck-Mandan the #4 Best Small Places for Business in America, up from #5 the year prior.
Business is booming in our community and we are transitioning from a big town to a small city. In the next few years we expect to add over 2 million square feet of retail space and up to 1,000 primary sector jobs.
The Northern Plains Commerce Center (NPCC), a trans-loading facility, was recently constructed to allow Bismarck-Mandan and North Dakota to facilitate international trade and shipping opportunities. Downtown Bismarck businesses are eligible for exciting new grants, loans and assistance through the CORE Incentive Program. Mandan also offers support to revitalize its downtown through a store-improvement fund and renaissance-zone funding.
